Unicaja Mijas will play the Andalusian Women's Cup this Wednesday, September 18, at the Juan Roa Sánchez “Osunillas” Pavilion in Mijas against CAB Estepona Jardín Costa del Sol (8:00 p.m., free entry until full capacity). The team, undefeated in this preseason, will seek the trophy against the Estepona team, one of the best in the Liga Femenina Challenge.
Unicaja will begin its return trip home on Monday after winning the FIBA Intercontinental Cup this past Sunday in Singapore. The team will arrive in Málaga on Tuesday at 11:05 a.m. and will begin preparations for the trip to Murcia in preparation for the Endesa Super Cup next weekend.
FIBA Intercontinental Cup Champions!!! Unicaja took the title in Singapore after beating a tough NBA G League United, which they beat 75 to 60. The team broke the deadlock after a brilliant third quarter, in which they had a 14-2 run, and maintained their lead, which reached over twenty points. Dylan Osetkowski, the MVP of the final (15 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, 16 PIR). This is the 7th title won in the history of the Club. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Unicaja took home another piece of silverware, and their big guy was named the Most Valuable Player of FIBA Intercontinental Cup 2024.
Ibon Navarro and Alberto Díaz, the captain who lifted the trophy, expressed their first feelings after becoming champions of the FIBA Intercontinental Cup.
