Unicaja Alhaurín de la Torre falls just short in Granada (82-76)

Manolo Trujillo's team bounced back from a shaky start and fought until the end, but Gaye Khalifa's clutch performance and the team's poor shooting in the final seconds sealed the Malaga side's fate (78-76). Unicaja Alhaurín de la Torre had some good moments, even putting pressure on the home team, but they were fleeting and couldn’t seal the victory. Dani Sierra led the team with 16 points, and Wilmer Mejía finished as the top scorer with 15 points.

A special day to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Korac Cup

April 18th will mark the 25th anniversary of Unicaja’s victory in the Korac Cup, the first title in the club’s history and a giant leap forward in its development. A quarter of a century later, Unicaja Baloncesto will host a roundtable discussion on Saturday 11th in the Unicaja Auditorium on Acera de la Marina, where the key players will reminisce about that legendary championship (7:00 p.m., free admission until capacity is reached). The following day, the members of that team will be honored at Carpena during halftime of the game against Valencia Basket. Twenty-five years have passed, but some nights are never forgotten.

Berlin, a passport for Badalona

Unicaja travels to Germany to face ALBA Berlin on Wednesday, April 8th, in the second game of the BCL quarterfinals (8:00 PM, broadcasted live from Le Grand Café Centro by Courtside 1891 and Unicaja Baloncesto Radio). A victory for the team would secure their place in the Final Four for the fourth consecutive season against a German side that will try to force a third and decisive game.

Unicaja falls to Surne Bilbao (90-74)

Unicaja lost to Surne Bilbao 90-74. The team struggled with their shooting and couldn't contain an opponent that controlled the pace for much of the game, although they did manage to defend their head-to-head advantage (+18). James Webb III was the standout player (20 points, 7 rebounds, 22 PIR).

A commanding victory at Martín Urbano (79-64)

Unicaja Mijas secured its 23rd win of the season and set a new franchise record in the Women’s Challenge League after defeating Sernova Renovables Real Canoe (79-64). The Malaga-based team dominated the game from start to finish in a match where their offensive prowess made the difference at key moments. Lydia Rivers stood out above the rest with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and a PIR of 25.
