Unicaja Mijas pays the price for physical exhaustion (67-73)

An exhausted Unicaja Mijas paid the price for playing three games in just six days and lost to Celta Femxa Zorka (67-73) in a match in which the Malaga team struggled to maintain their level of performance throughout the 40 minutes, although they reached the final moments with a real chance of winning. On an individual level, Cesarina Capellán made a notable comeback, scoring 17 points after recovering from injury, and Tayra Eke set a rebounding record with 17 rebounds.

Unicaja storms the Roig Arena (70-76)

Unicaja achieved a great victory in their visit to the Roig Arena, defeating Valencia Basket 70-76. The team, led by a tremendous Chase Audige, managed to impose their rhythm in the third quarter to come back against an opponent that, until today, had not lost at home in the Liga Endesa. Unicaja became the first team to take the victory on this court. Audige was sensational (20 points, 2 assists, 2 blocks, 18 PIR).

A crucial test to close out the first round

Unicaja Mijas will play its third game in just six days on Saturday 10th at the Martín Urbano Pavilion (7:30 p.m., broadcast on Canal FEB). They will face Celta Femxa Zorka, second in the Women's Challenge League and direct rivals of the Malaga team, who are only one victory ahead. Los Guindos will once again be key for Javi Pérez de los Reyes' team to finish the first round close behind the leaders. Tickets can be purchased for €5, both on the website and at the box office on the day of the game.

The Roig Arena, a new stage to conquer

Unicaja travels to the Levante region, where they will face one of the most in-form teams in Europe, Valencia Basket, this Saturday (6:30 p.m., broadcast on DAZN and Unicaja Baloncesto Radio, live from Le Grand Café Centro). It will be the first time the team plays in the new Roig Arena, where Valencia has only lost one game so far this season. Unicaja will be reunited with two familiar faces: Kam Taylor and Yankuba Sima.
